Key Battleground States Swing To McCain
Here's something for the Obama campaign to try and put some lipstick on: The St. Petersburg Times in Florida and Zogby both show that the millions and millions of dollars that Obama has dumped into Florida these past 19 months is for naught.
McCain has opened up a six point lead in Florida and has only recently begun to run campaign commercials in the state.
This has so distressed the Obama campaign that there's now talk of pulling funding from Florida to focus elsewhere.
This marks the third of the five key battleground states that has swung towards McCain since Sarah Palin became McCain's running mate and after the Republican Convention. (The other two are Ohio and Pennsylvania, where the trends show McCain +5 over Obama.)
Comparing the 2004 statistics, this places Obama in worse shape than John Kerry was at the same point in time during the 2004 election cycle.
Of the four polls that are coming out tomorrow, one shows a "tied" race, the other three show McCain leading by as much as 8 percentage points.
This couldn't be more diastrous news for the Democrats who are now seeing their chances of building on their majorities in the House and Senate slip away.
We reported last week that those Democrats who won during the 2006 mid-term elections a re now running away from Obama. As the party's Presidential candidate goes, so goes the party!
No matter how much lipstick the Democrats try putting on the pig that is the Obama candidacy, Barak Hussein Obama is still a (male chauvinist) pig!
