You Have Awakened A Sleeping Giant

ObamaCare #1 Reason Previously Politically Agnostic People Are Becoming Politically Active

In this video, a 35 year old woman becomes politically active for the first time.  What caused this transformation?  ObamaCare and the thought of her losing more and more of her rights as Socialism tries to take control in this country.  No doubt this woman spoke for those in attendance at Arlen Specter’s town hall meeting on health care.

Democrats Plant Little Girl to Ask About “Mean Signs”

Who is this little girl asking Barack Hussein Obama about those “mean signs” she saw on the way to his town hall meeting on health care in Portsmouth, New Hampshire today? (Tuesday, Aug. 11th)

Why it’s none other than Kathleen Manning Hall’s daughter, Julia.

Kathleen Manning Hall is no stranger to the Obama Administration.  According to FEC reports, she donated  $636 dollars to the “Obama for America” campaign in 2008.

Additionally, as an employee of the lawfirm “Looney & Grossman, Kathleen Manning Hall gave Obama $1,355 as part of the lawfirm’s $12,101 total contribution to the Democrat Party.  (The same lawfirm “Looney & Grossman” gave $0 to Republican candidates.)

Her other contributions to Obama are broken down as follows:

  • $230 donated on 6/15/07
  • $250 donated on 9/28/07
  • $500 donated on 9/30/07
  • $300 on 3/2/08.

Now, this wasn’t just some “pay to play” set of contributions, it seems Kathleen Manning Hall is fairly well connected in Democrat circles as well.  Her Facebook page lists such friends as the Attorney General of Massachusetts, Martha Coakley, Adam Parkhomenko a former aide to Hillary Clinton, Addisu Demissie the National Political Director of “Organizing for America” (Barack Obama’s former Campaign organization) and other well connected Democrats in the Massachusetts House & Senate.

The point you may ask?  The point is, this wasn’t just some “little girl” who happened to ask a question about the “mean signs” she saw on her way to Obama’s health care town hall.

This quite frankly, is more Obama Astroturf.

“The White House insisted that none of the attendees were pre-screened, although many people who spoke to ABC said they got their tickets through their local lawmakers or through a White House lottery at whitehouse.gov.”

AARP Rejects Obama Claim

During his townhall in Portsmouth  today, Obama bragged that the AARP endorsed his plan.

Shortly afterwards, the AARP (who we suspect really does endorse Obama’s plan) issued this refutation:

AARP Reacts to President’s Health Care Townhall

WASHINGTON – AARP Chief Operating Officer Tom Nelson issued this statement following remarks by the President at a townhall event in New Hampshire on health care reform.

“AARP has been working with Democrats and Republicans to fix our broken health care system.

“While the President was correct that AARP will not endorse a health care reform bill that would reduce Medicare benefits, indications that we have endorsed any of the major health care reform bills currently under consideration in Congress are inaccurate.

“AARP supports specific measures that would help older Americans and their families – including bipartisan proposals to create a new follow-up care benefit in Medicare that would help prevent hospital re-admissions, as well as to address the Medicare prescription drug coverage gap known as the ‘doughnut hole.’ We also support the need for lawmakers and the Administration to act this year to fix what doesn’t work in the health care system.

“We share the President’s commitment to act this year, and our members appreciate his insistence that any final reform package will not reduce Medicare benefits for the millions of people that literally depend on that program as a lifeline.

“We look forward to working with leaders of both parties, including the President, to build a final package we could endorse that addresses the concerns of the 50-plus population and brings quality, affordable health care choices to every American.”

Not exactly a resounding bitch-slap back to Obama, but they did refute him – at least for the time being.
