Green “Czar” Distracting From Health Care Debate

With all the media attention on Van Jones, we have to be careful to watch what the Obama Administration tries pulling off while the public is “looking the other way.”

I’m not going to spend alot of time on Van Jones because in my view while this is important, there’s more important things to watch ‘behind the scenes’ while everyone else focuses on Van Jones.

So to simply recap, you’d have to be living in a cave if you haven’t heard of Van Jones by now.  Here’s some important details:

• Van Jones is nothing more than a foul mouthed anti-white racist punk as evidenced on this You Tube clip.  Anyone who doesn’t get the “get uppity” line surely has their head in the sand.

• As the ‘Green Czar” Van Jones believes that “white polluters” have been steering toxic waste into black communities, and believes in “environmental justice” which is founded in the belief of institutionalized racism against black people.  In this day and age, that’s simply absurd. (“President Obama” anyone?)
• Van Jones is also one of the original signatories in the “9-11 Truther” movement.  That is, Van Jones believes that the U.S. government orchestrated or let happen the terrorist attacks on 9-11 to gain control of the American people.  The “Truthers” are a prime example of a left-wing extremist group who’s sole mission in life was to bring down the Bush Presidency with their “truth” about 9-11.  Thankfully American’s with common sense never bought into their lies.
• Finally and probably most importantly, Van Jones was one of the original Mumia Abu-Jamal supporters who organized protest marches in San Francisco and other cities in the United States demanding the release of a convicted cop killer.  (Source: San Franciso Chronicle, October 9, 1999.) Quoting from the article:

Supporters of Mumia Abu-Jamal, a death row inmate convicted for the 1981 shooting death of a Philadelphia police officer, said the protest was called after the Supreme Court on Monday rejected claims that Abu-Jamal, a former radio journalist and Black Panther, did not receive a fair trial.

``We knew there was another event going on, but the timing of the court decision is what dictated when the protest was held,'' said Van Jones, a San Francisco civil rights lawyer who helped coordinate the protest march.

Jones said about 15 protesters occupied the rotunda at the Federal Building on Clay Street in an act of civil disobedience with the hope they would be arrested.

We know Van Jones is a bad guy who needs to be fired by the Obama Administration.  We get that.  As I see it though, this is a distraction to take the focus off other things that are as equally or more important than one avowed marxist asshole in the White House.  Jones has already minimized himself, the spotlight’s on him and the dirtbag has been exposed. 

As I’ve always said though, while distractions like this are going on, pay attention to what these idiots in Washington DC are doing behind the scenes because that’s where the real action is.   (i.e. stealing more of our money, passing more laws to make us criminals, stealing more of our rights.)

Chinese National Flag to Fly Over White House

Later this month on September 20th in a gesture of “good will” to the Communist Chinese, the Obama Administration will fly the Chinese national flag over the White House.

In their own media the Chinese propaganda is that this is a gesture of ‘good will’ between the United State and China in recognition of our “partnership” with them and their progress towards human rights over the last 60 years.

Progress, such as their one-child policy, forced abortion, usage of child labor in their factories to displace American workers, an aggressive military build-up on the Asian continent and their funding of North Korea’s Kim Jung-Il and his nuclear program?  That kind of progress?

How about the truth of the matter: The Obama Administration after completing it’s world apology tour, and after having bowed to the Saudi’s on bended knee is now kissing the Chinese Government’s ass because they hold so much American debt they basically own us anyway!

Remember the Communist Chinese are the primary debt holders of Obama’s $787 Billion “economic stimulus” debt, and will likely also buy the debt incurred by Obama’s $1.5 TRILLION “health care reform” package.

Flying the Chinese National Flag over the White House isn’t a gesture of “good will” its a clear signal by the Obama Administration that they recognize just who it is that owns America.

Obama To Write His Own “Health Care Reform” Bill

It was reported in the Chicago media market yesterday that Barack Hussein Obama isn’t “happy” with any of the “health care reform” legislation floating around Washington DC, so he’s going to write his own bill.

I laughed so hard upon hearing this that the coffee I was drinking unexpectedly left my mouth and was spewed forth onto my monitor as I laughed heartily at the thought of Obama writing his own bill.

This is a guy who as a State Senator here in Illinois didn’t author a single piece of legislation.  He may have co-signed onto a bunch of bills, but ne never authored a single one.

Nor did he author a single piece of legislation during his 144 days in the U.S. Senate before he launched his “historic” bid for the U.S. Presidency.

I can hardly wait to see the laugh-track that Obama’s proposal is going to be.  Remember, this is a guy who’s refused to release any of his law school paper editorials or articles.  Other than his book “Dreams from  my Father” which many suspect was actually written by his friend William Ayers, no one’s ever seen Obama actually write anything.

Obama Administration The Most Anti-Market in U.S. History

The top question in economic circles these days is whether it's time for the government to head for the exits and reign in the stimulus. Both the minutes of the August FOMC meeting and comments from Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner suggest major policymakers think it's too soon to take action.

It's debatable whether the $787 billion stimulus package is really helping the economy, or if the Fed should stop its various and sundry emergency programs, says Charles Ortel, managing director of Newport Value Partners, an independent research firm.

But there's a more fundamental issue at hand: Barack Obama is running "the most anti-market administration in the history of the Republic," says Ortel, expressing a view that's shared by many right-leaning Americans these days.

As evidence, Ortel cited Obama's reliance on House Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank, who recently advocated Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lower their lending standards for condo buyers. "This is ridiculous stuff and the taxpayers are now saddled with the debt of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac." (Click here for Rep. More generally, Ortel cited expectations for higher taxes and a "schizophrenic" policy regarding employment. "We say we want to encourage [hiring] but we pile costs and regulations and uncertainty and risk on the private sector," he says. "The government needs to think carefully about whether it is pro-capitalism or anti-capitalism. We need to step back and understand creating wealth is a good thing."

Concerns about the Obama administration's commitment to capitalism are one reason why Ortel believes we're heading for "the worst of all worlds.”

More Public Anger At Democrat Town Halls

This may be the last town hall video we post here on NoBamaNation.  If it had been the first it would’ve been the only one we’d have felt the need to post.

As a U.S. Marine, David took a sacred vow to protect and defend the United States of America from all enemies, foreign and domestic.  In this video, we witness this fine Marine confronting a domestic terrorist – a U.S. Congressman who’s voting in favor of “ObamaCare.”'

The controlled anger and passion is clear in David’s voice as he addresses his Congressman.  When David finishes, he walks off making his disdain for this arrogant Congressman clear.

The Fastest Approval Rating Plummet Ever

Obama’s “approval” ratings have now fallen farther, faster than any of the past twelve Presidents.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: “Jimmy Carter must be the happiest man on the planet.  Finally someone’s come along that will be a worse President than even he was.”

That prediction was made here on this blog shortly after 53% of the voters in this country were duped into voting for Barack Hussein Obama.

Looking at the latest polls, either buyers remorse has set in, the “great awakening” has happened in our electorate – or both.

All the major polls (Rasmussen, Zogby, Gallup/CNN) have Obama’s approval rating below 45%.  Rasmussen has Obama at 42% approval overall.

Amazingly, those who “strongly approve” of Obama have fallen from over 40% to about 22% since January of this year.

What causing Obama’s rapid decent into oblivion?

Banking Industry Bailouts, GM/Chrysler Bailouts, the “Economic Stimulus” package followed up two days later by Congress’ self-appropriation of $410 billion dollars to dish out to their favorite constituencies, none of which has had the transparency that Obama promised during the campaign. (See: Why American’s are So Pissed, and Federal Judge Orders Obama Administration to Disclose Recipients of Taxpayer Bailouts, August 25th.)

Then there’s “Health Care Reform” which adds another $1.5 TRILLION dollars to the national debt according to the non-partisan Congressional Budget office.   Lest we forget, Obama also wants our War Hero’s and disabled vets to commit suicide by forgoing medical treatment to save money.  (See: Obama Administration: Depressed & Disabled Veterans Should “Consider” Forgoing Medical Care.)

There’s also high, post WW2 record unemployment and Obama rewarding his union friends with Federal Reserve Chair appointments which now means that the Unions in this country aren’t only blowing our taxpayer dollars (Chrysler, GM Bailouts) they can also GIVE themselves our money to continue bailing themselves out!

Most recently, Obama’s seeking to completely control the Internet and imperil free speech via “Emergency Power” to shut off the Internet in times of “national emergency” – which has not been defined.  (See: While We’ve All Been Distracted by Obama-Care, August 29th)

All this adds up to Obama’s record plummet in the polls further and faster than any of our previous 12 Presidents, including the Democrats most hated target, George W. Bush.

Maybe I was wrong that Jimmy Carter must be the happiest man on the planet.  Obama’s given Democrats a new target to hate: himself.  As he abandons the “public option” over the next few weeks watch for the progressives in his own party to turn on him first, followed by the lamestream liberal media. 

If you doubt the lamestream media is going to turn on Obama, just lisen to this clip from Air America on Saturday, August 22nd as Obama gets thrown under the liberal-progressive bus for making a deal with former congressman Billy Touzin of PHRMA to return a measly 2% of the cost of “Drugs for Seniors” to taxpayers via a backroom deal that the Obama administration brokered.  (This after Obama said during the campaign that he’d never negotiate “backroom deals” much less with Billy Touzin of PHRMA.)

It’s only a matter of time until the liberal-progressives in the Democrat Party and the media turns on Obama at this point.

Somewhere Jimmy Carter is surely smiling, secure in the knowledge that his Presidency is going to be replaced as the worst in the history of this great country by Obama. 

It’s only a matter of time now.

Nearly 60% Would Replace Entire Congress

Seems that the great “Hope” and “Change” isn’t working out to well for the overwhelming majority of American’s, tired of Obama's and the Congress’ liberal spending ways.

A new Rasmussen Reports national phone survey finds that nearly 60% of all American’s would vote to replace the entire Congress and start all over again if they could vote today.

Two words describe this Administration and Congress: EPIC FAIL.

The Democrat Congress’ passage of the hugely unpopular $700 billion bailout plan under Bush, the Auto-Industry bailouts, Congress’ $410 “discretionary spending” bill passed immediately after the Banking bailouts, the “economic stimulus” which added another $1.7 TRILLION dollars to the National Debt and now Health Care have all contributed to the major negative numbers for this Congress.

To say this Congress spends like a bunch of drunken sailor’s would be giving drunken sailors a bad name!  At Least the sailors stop when they run out of money!


Further damn’ing Congress is that 59% of American’s believe Congress is grossly overpaid, and the fact that American’s believe they understand the “health care reform” legislation than their own elected representatives do.
Further, 59% believe that Congress is “in it for their own benefit” to help their friends, and that big political donor’s get “more than their money back” in terms of favors from Congress.

Now the bad news: every election cycle more than 90% of Congress gets re-elected each election.  People typically “hate Congress” but love their own Congressman.  This attitude is what has to change in order to take this government back in 2010.  It’s truly time to drain the swamp, or we’ll have no other recourse than a full-on revolution.

Why do I say “full on revolution?”  Because in the same Rasmussen poll, 50% of voters say the election laws are rigged in favor of Congressional incumbents.

Seems at least 50% of the country is fully awake and with numbers like this, ACORN can’t help Obama steal elections forever.

Rent-A-Cop Posing As Police Officer Must Be FIRED

It turns out that Wesley Cheeks Jr.  the alleged “officer” in yesterday’s post and video isn’t a police officer at all!

Phone calls to the County of Fairfax Police Department in Reston Virginia confirmed that Mr. Cheeks is a a rent-a-cop “security guard” for the Fairfax County, Virginia Public School System.

As a lowly security guard, Mr. Cheeks had no legal authority whatsoever to threaten to arrest any anti-Obama protesters at Congressman Jim Moran’s (D. – Virginia) “health care town hall” on August 25th.  In fact, Cheeks had no authority whatsoever (other than that which he appointed himself) to tell anyone protesting at Congressman Jim Moran’s “health care town hall” which signs they could – or could not hold.

Clearly Mr. Cheek’s is committed several legal violations, the most notable of which are impersonating a police officer by threatening to arrest protesters, and violating or conspiring to violate the First Amendment Constitutional Rights of the protesters in attendance.

Mr. Cheeks needs to learn the law, and we’d like to encourage our readers to help him do so.  What better way than to have this rogue rent-a-cop directly interact with “the system” he pretended to represent?

Mr. Cheek’s boss with the Fairfax County School System – Security Services division is named Carl Davis.  He can be reached at 571.423.1200, the 24 hour dispatch “hot line.”  The Chief Security Coordinator (Davis’ boss) is named Jim McLain, his direct dial is 7083.658.3769. 

At a minimum, Wesley Cheeks Jr. should be fired for overstepping his “authority” and for violating the first amendment rights of those who were protesting.  That is if they want to avoid a multi-million class action lawsuit.

Bill Would Give President “Emergency Power” To Shut Off ‘Net

S. 773 if passed would give Barack Hussein Obama, an avid anti-free speech President new powers to shut off parts of the internet during so-called “cyber security” emergencies.

The bill would require that networks in the private sector be managed by those who have attained a “government certification or license” to run them.

S. 773 does not define what a “cyber security” emergency is, nor does it limit the powers the President may have in issuing an executive order to shut down private networks.

Advocates of this obamanation claim this bill is ‘vital to protect the national interest’ and equate it to the powers Bush had to shut down airports and ground aircraft during the attack  of 9-11.

Probably the most controversial language begins in Section 201, which permits the president to "direct the national response to the cyber threat" if necessary for "the national defense and security." The White House is supposed to engage in "periodic mapping" of private networks deemed to be critical, and those companies "shall share" requested information with the federal government. ("Cyber" is defined as anything having to do with the Internet, telecommunications, computers, or computer networks.)

“Mapping private networks?”  By who?  None other than Government Certified “cyber security experts” that’s who.  Paid for by private enterprises, reporting to the Government on all private industry activities, just like what happens in CHINA!!

Make no mistake about this one folks, Obama doesn’t like the opposition he’s running into.  His entire political career was built on eliminating his opposition so he could run in a “clear field.”  His actions, enabled by such liberals as Sen. Jay Rockefeller only go to further Obama’s desire to control everything.

DHS Announces New Electronic Search At Borders

Computers, Ipods, Blackberry’s, Papers to be inventoried

While American’s are distracted by Obama-Care, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) yesterday announced new directives to “enhance and clarify” how searches of computers and other ‘electronic media.’ 

The new announcement allow the DHS to develop automated tools to do comprehensive searches and inventory all types of electronic devices including laptops, blackberry devices, ipods and yes, even hard copies of files that a “citizen” may be carrying.

Brings a whole new meaning to “Your Papers Please!” doesn’t it?

 

“It Ain’t America No Mo’ Ok?”

Meet officer Wesley Cheeks Jr. of the Reston Virginia Police Department.

Officer Cheek’s didn’t like an anti-Obama sign at a “health care town hall” sponsored by Congressman Jim Moran (D. VA) and ordered one of the protesters to put it down.

That sign was just like this one.

Officer Wesley Cheeks Jr. then goes on to tell the protester if he displays the sign again, he’ll be arrested and charged with trespassing.

Does Officer Wesley know the law or doesn’t he?  Trespassing?

Why can’t the sign be displayed?  Because Officer Wesley Cheeks Jr. said so!  Aren’t you curious as to why Officer Cheeks doesn’t like this sign?

It ain’t America no mo’.

Officer Cheeks should be fired.  Plain and simple as that.

We encourage our readers to call the Reston, Virginia police department to voice their concerns with this officer’s behavior and denial of someone’s First Amendment Rights by threatening to arrest them.

Demands ID Before Allowing Questions at Town Hall

At a townhall meeting today, Congressman Jim Moran (D. VA) demanded to see the ID of a constituent before allowing him to pose a question. The Democrats are desperate, taking any measure they think they can get away with in shutting down public debate over healthcare. 

Moran accused the gentleman in the video of being an “imposter” from outside his district.

I wonder, why is it Democrats demand to see the ID’s of their constituents before answering a simple question, yet these same Democrats consistently vote against any law requiring proof of citizenship before casting a vote in a Presidential election for example, to stop illegal aliens from voting?

The problem for Congressman Moran is, he’s just demonstrated exactly why an ID validating one’s citizenship is needed to stop voter fraud in this country.   Of course the Democrats would never allow that to happen, they might not win another election if they did!

In what can only be described as a major blow to “Government Motors” (GM) and Chrysler Corporation, the “Cash for Clunkers” program failed to produce a single top-ten best seller from either car maker.

The top selling models were:

4. Ford Focus FWD
5. Hyundai Elantra
6. Nissan Versa
7. Toyota Prius
8. Honda Accord
9. Honda Fit
10. Ford Escape FWD

To add insult to injury, five of the ten “most traded in Clunkers” were  Chevrolet’s (GM) and Chrysler’s (Jeep/Dodge.)

While Ford by itself occupied five of the most traded-in clunkers, they were also in the top ten selling models, something GM and Chrysler can’t say.

No doubt backlash against both GM and Chrysler for taking billions of dollars of taxpayer money was at the front of buyer’s minds in choosing Toyota, Honda, Ford, Hyundai and Nissan models first.

Gotta love it when American’s vote with their dollars and manage to strike a blow at both the Obama Administration for seizing control of GM and Chrysler, and repudiate the Union’s who messed up these once great car companies at the same time.

Federal Reserve: Real U.S. Unemployment Rate at 16%

The real US unemployment rate is 16 percent if persons who have dropped out of the labor pool and those working less than they would like are counted, a Federal Reserve official said Wednesday. 

"If one considers the people who would like a job but have stopped looking -- so-called discouraged workers -- and those who are working fewer hours than they want, the unemployment rate would move from the official 9.4 percent to 16 percent, said Atlanta Fed chief Dennis Lockhart.

He underscored that he was expressing his own views, which did "do not necessarily reflect those of my colleagues on the Federal Open Market Committee," the policy-setting body of the central bank.

Lockhart pointed out in a speech to a chamber of commerce in Chattanooga, Tennessee that those two categories of people are not taken into account in the Labor Department's monthly report on the unemployment rate. The official July jobless rate was 9.4 percent.

Lockhart, who heads the Atlanta, Georgia, division of the Fed, is the first central bank official to acknowledge the depth of unemployment amid the worst US recession since the Great Depression. Lockhart said the US economy was improving but "still fragile," and the beginning stages of a sluggish recovery were underway.
"My forecast for a slow recovery implies a protracted period of high unemployment," he said, adding that it would be difficult to stimulate jobs through additional public spending.



Lockhart noted that construction and manufacturing had been particularly hard hit in the recession that began in December 2007 and predicted some jobs were gone for good.  Prior to the recession, he said, construction and manufacturing combined accounted for slightly more than 15 percent of employment.  But during the recession, their job losses made up more than 40 percent of all US job losses.  "In my view, it is unlikely that we will see a return of jobs lost in certain sectors, such as manufacturing," he said.

"In a similar vein, the recession has been so deep in construction that a reallocation of workers is likely to happen -- even if not permanent."  Payroll employment has fallen by 6.7 million since the recession began, more than 5 million of which have occurred since Obama won the election in November, 2008.
