Caterpillar, AT&T, Verizon, & Others Threatened By Obama Henchman Henry Waxman
Even before ObamaCare was passed, public companies large and small across America were trying to assess its impacts to their bottom lines, as they’re required by law to report forecast changes to their profitability for current and future quarters. Again, this is required by law by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Caterpillar was first out of the box announcing that ObamaCare would cost it $100,000,000 in the first year, and could force them to lay off thousands of workers to return to profitability.
Medtronic followed by saying the new taxes under ObamaCare would force them to lose at least 1,000 workers. AT&T along with Verizon told their employees that they would have to cut healthcare benefits to offset the new costs of ObamaCare.
So much for “If you like your insurance, you can keep it” as that’s clearly not the case.
Congressional Democrats already reeling from the backlash against them in the run up to passing ObamaCare, the week that’s followed since and facing mid-term elections are looking for someone else to blame for the mess. They can’t blame it on Republicans as they voted en masse against ObamaCare, so who can they go after?
Those big greedy Corporations, that’s who!
Henry Waxman (D. CA, aka “Porky Pig”) no doubt following the orders of his master Obama issued the following letter to the CEO’s of AT&T, Caterpillar, John Deer and Verizon ordering them to testify before the Energy and Commerce committee to explain why they’ll need to cut costs (and employees!) because of ObamaCare.
In issuing the “request” (let’s face it, it’s an ORDER!) Henry Waxman the human pig and Bart Stupak (the pro-life sellout) demanded all accounting documents dating to 2003 and any internal emails that were sent to or by senior company officials related to ObamaCare.
Make no mistake about the Congressional Democrats and Obama’s objectives here: to silence any and all opposition to ObamaCare using the full force and threat of the Federal Government.
Lest there be any doubt, passing ObamaCare was Socialism. As the resistance to ObamaCare has grown in the last week, the Federal Government is clearly taking the next step to Marxism in silencing any and all opposition to the law using the Federal Government as a weapon.
I suppose I shouldn’t really care about Caterpillar, Verizon, AT&T and John Deere as they’re heavily union companies and in some sweet revenge sort of way the Union’s are about to get their comeuppance at the expense of the Obama Administration in losing their jobs, or at a minimum a substantial portion of their benefits.
Yes, the revenge in an ironic sort of way is rather sweet, how’s the hope and change you Obama-bot unions voted for?
If ObamaCare was so popular and American’s were rejoicing at its passage, don’t you think that Democrats would be eager to rush home over their spring break and hold town hall meeting after town hall meeting to bask in their glory of passing it?
After all, wouldn’t we mere “governed” be happy that the Democrats were soooooo much smarter than we are that we’d be down on our knees, bowing and thanking them?
As reality would have it, that’s not about to happen anytime soon as not a single Democrat will be holding town hall meetings over their spring break.
A new Bloomberg survey "found the percentage of Americans who favor the almost $1 trillion 10-year plan remained at about just four in 10 following the House vote." Experts expressed surprise that 53 percent in this poll say the government-run system of ObamaCare "amounts to a government-run system."
In a survey taken after passage of ObamaCare which "extends" coverage to 32 million uninsured Americans by forcing them to purchase insurance, only 37 percent oppose their state suing the feds to fight mandated health insurance. Forty-nine percent want their state to sue. 58 percent of unaffiliated voters favor their states suing the Federal Government to shut down ObamaCare.
In the same poll, Rasmussen points out that Fifty-two percent said they'd cast their vote for someone favoring repeal, Among those not affiliated with either major party, 59% favor repeal, and 35% are against it.
Even CBS --- (And when you SEE BS you KNOW it’s B.S.!) latest news poll finds that nearly 63% want Congressional Republicans to keep the pressure on to repeal Obamacare, while just 33% want to keep it. Nine of ten republicans, two in three Independents, and four in ten Democrats want ObamaCare REPEALED.
Why are the poll numbers getting worse? It seems that once again Obama LIED when he said to the American People “If you like your insurance, you can keep it!” That statement has turned out to be false as millions of workers from John Deere, Caterpillar, Verizon, AT&T, and others across this country found out when their companies told them how much ObamaCare would cost them, and how they as employees – and retiree’s – would pay more to receive less.
Here in Illinois alone, Caterpillar announced that ObamaCare would cause the company to take a $100,000,000 write-down, costing thousands of jobs and retiree’s their benefits. The Obama Administration’s resposne? Blame Caterpillar (and Verizon, and John Deere and AT&T)
The polls and responses by large companies as to what the true costs of ObamaCare are for their employees isn’t boding well for the mid-term elections, and explains why Democrats aren’t eager to rush home and hold celebratory Town Hall meetings like Nancy Pelosi is telling them to do.
It’s been nearly a week since Obama and his willing cohorts in the Democrat Party passed ObamaCare against the will of the public. Contrary to Obama’s statements that the public would “love what’s in it” it seems the polls are just getting worse for the Democrats.

They Took Your Health Care System – Now They Want Control Of Your PRIVATE 401k!
Here in Illinois, the state has some 80 billion dollars in unfunded liabilities for state government workers. At the Federal level, it’s estimated that more than 20,000,000,000,000 (that’s trillion!) dollars in unfunded liabilities exist for SEIU and other government employees
So what does the Obama administration, the SEIU and other Labor Unions want? They want control of your and my PRIVATE 401k’s!!
The SEIU is promoting a plan that will centralize all retirement plans for all American’s – including 401k’s under a single “retirement system” for the United States. Yep, single payer for retirement!
The SEIU, which was integral to the election of Barack Obama as president, is working with the left-leaning Economic Policy Institute (EPI), and the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, on SEIU's plan, called "the Retirement USA Initiative."
The proposed retirement system would be operated under the following principles:
Shared Responsibility. Retirement should be the shared responsibility of employers, employees and the government.(Gee, where have we heard this before?
Required Contributions. Employers and employees should be required to contribute a specified percentage of pay, and the government should subsidize the contributions of lower-income workers. (More Government involvement in your life!)
Pooled Assets. Contributions to the system should be pooled and professionally managed to minimize costs and financial risks. (No doubt managed by the Government!)
Efficient and Transparent Administration. The system should be administered by a governmental agency or by private, non-profit institutions that are efficient, transparent, and governed by boards of trustees that include employer, employee, and retiree representatives. (Kind of like that same “transparent administration” of the Obama government?)
Effective Oversight. Oversight of the new system should be by a single government regulator dedicated solely to promoting retirement security.
"The financial crisis and the economic recession have shone a spotlight on the inadequacies of today's system," said Stephen Albrecht, director of benefits for SEIU.
Inadequacies such as those created by the SEIU who for years demanded more and more benefits for its members, and who’s benefits now exceed those of the private sector?
How about this Mr. Albrecht: the SEIU owes the American public a refund of their benefits as the “productivity” of a Government worker is less than half that in the private sector!

“Violent Backlash” A Screen For Dem’s Afraid To Face Their Constituencies

Insurance Companies Will Follow Credit Card Co. Example
The real "Slaughter Rule" starts now. The Health Insurance Comanies have six months before they're impacted by ObamaCare, and I predict they'll follow the example set before them by the Credit Card companies earlier this year.
Much like the Credit Card companies cleansed themselves of their most difficult payers or those at the highest risk of default, the Health Care companies are about to start cleansing their insured roles with those they deem at highest risk of impacting their bottom line.
And it'll be perfectly legal for the next six months.
Have a pre-existing condition? Prepare to get dropped. Have a child or spouse with a pre-existing condition? You're about to get dropped too. Approaching 55 or 60 years old? Are you a woman who gets a yearly mammogram? Prepare to get dropped. Have arthritis, trouble breathing, back problems or a genetic predisposition towards any disease? Yep, you're going to get dropped too in the next six months - and it'll be perfectly legal.
No one's talked about this provision in "ObamaCare", that the law won't take affect for six months and during that time the Insurance Companies can drop on demand any paying customer for any reason, meaning they'll keep the healthiest only.
This is what ObamaCare has wrought upon America - and the Democrats who passed their bill yesterday didn't bother to stop and tell you - the peasants among them who's opinions didn't matter - what the implications of the bill would be.
How's that hopey-changey crap working out for you now?

I Would Rather Die Without ObamaCare, Than Live In An America Without A Constitution
Obama is a left-wing Socialist, of this there can no longer be any doubt. Since coming to office, Obama has ignored all Constitutional retraints and has exploded the size and scope of the Federal Government, seeking to impose his will on our daily lives.
Obama has nationalized major parts of our economy already: the banks, Wall Street, GM and Chrysler, fully 2/3rds of the nation's automobile industry, seized large tracts of energy rich land and banned energy exploration, seeks to impose cap and trade via the EPA's declaration that carbon dioxide is a pollutant and seeking to impose major new taxes for all forms of energy consumption.
This is the damage that Obama has already done.
Now he wants to seize control of the best health care system in the world - and destroy it. This has always been his plan. What plan you may ask? His plan to implement Social Justice in America.
Most of you who read this think this is all about transforming America into a Socialist country, similar to that in Europe, and in large part that is true. But for Obama this is about much more. This is about Social Justice, and re-distributing wealth from the producers in this country to the consumers to "level the playing field."
To put it more bluntly, everything Obama has done to date has been about taking away from those of us who work hard, play by the rules, live according to our means and save and invest in this country, to give to those fat, lazy, government cheese eating welfare rats who've been waiting their whole lives for the Government to take care of them.

Under Obama and the Socialist Democrats, our economy will fall under a command-and-control bureaucratic corporatist state. Obama and the Democrats even want to nationalize education and your and my 401k plans because they think we're too stupid to manage our own money. This coming from the same Administration that couldn't manage cash for clunkers properly.
The most troubling aspect of the Obamacare debate, however, is not the measure's sweeping and radical aims - the transformation of one-sixth of the U.S. economy, crippling tax increases, higher premiums, state-sanctioned rationing, longer waiting lines, the erosion of the quality of medical care and the creation of a huge, permanent administrative bureaucracy. Rather, the most alarming aspect is the lengths to which the Democrats are willing to go to achieve their progressive, anti-capitalist agenda, which is to directly subvert the Constitution of the United States of America and simply "deem" the bill passed without actually voting on it.
This so the Democrats can say when the shit hits the fan "we didn't vote FOR the bill." Really? How stupid do they think we are? By voting for the Slaughter Rule (how appropriately named that is!) they are defacto passing the bill. Perhaps some knee-pad wearing Obama Supporter may fall for that line, but the rest of us who knew what a marxist bastard Obama was before he was even elected, we knew this was coming.
The fact is, Obamacare is opposed by nearly two-thirds of the public, more than 60 percent of independents and almost all Republicans and conservatives. It has badly fractured the country, dangerously polarizing it along ideological and racial lines. And yet, the Democrats are about to commit political suicide and vote for this to "save Obama's Presidency."
Obama is willing to sacrifice his Presidency, his party's majority in the House and Senate and most disturbing - OUR CONSTITUTION and America's stability in pursuit of his socialist agenda.
Several states have already said they will sue the Federal Government should Obamacare become law. They've already passed legislation declaring themselves exempt from the legislation's requirements and by suing the Federal Government they will tie it up in court for years to come.
If the Democrats are dumb enough (and I believe they are) to pass ObamaCare this Sunday using the "Slaughter Rule" they will have guaranteed that any bill signed by Obama is as illegitimate as his Presidency will be once Republican's re-take the House and Senate in November.
Impeachment anyone? You bet. Obama's signing of any bill that subverts Article 1 Section VII of our Constitution is a direct abrogation of his sworn duty to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. Yes, that is an impeachable offense - assuming we elect representatives this November with a spine to stand up to this marxist bastard
The "Slaughter Rule" violates the entire basis of our Constitutional form of Government, meeting the thresshold of "high crimes and misdemeanors." If the Republican Party is smart (and I'm not saying they are ..) they should campaign on the platform of repealing ObamaCare and impeaching and removing Obama from office.

The official title is the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act,” popularly known as “Obamacare,” passed by the Senate in the wee-hours of Christmas Eve. This 2400-page monstrosity does what no enemy of America has ever been able to do: transform the land of the free into the home of the enslaved.

When government is paying for health care, government dictates the quantity, quality and price of the care. The costs that are not extracted as premiums or co-pay will be extracted as increased taxes.
When government is paying for health care, there are no choices, there are no options. Every life is subject to whatever requirements the government may choose to impose. Smokers, for example, could be denied certain services – should the government so decide. Overweight people could be denied certain services unless they meet government-imposed weight limits. Seniors could be denied life-extending procedures should the government decide that the cost is greater than the benefit.
Perhaps the worst consequence of Obamacare is the expansion of a culture that depends upon government; that teaches that government can bestow rights, whether to health care, or education, or a living wage, or all the other so-called rights listed in the socialists’ agenda.
Obamacare, if enacted, is indeed a shortcut to socialism.
The "Slaughter Rule" Is The Enabler
Named after House Rules Chairwoman Louise Slaughter, the "Slaughter Rule" would declare that the House of Representatives "deems" the Senate version of Obamacare to have been passed by the House without the House actually voting on the specific bill. House members would only be required to vote on whether to accept the "Slaughter rule," but would then be able to say they only voted for a rule, not for the actual bill itself.
Imagine that, the House of Representatives would pass a bill that completely changes the health care for every single person in this country without actually voting on it. Talk about shirking their responsibility to the American People to be accountable for the laws they pass!
So what are the Democrats waiting for in passing this Obamanation of a bill? Guarantees that the Senate will adopt changes from the House of Representatives after the "Slaughter Rule" is adopted. Once that happens, the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) is required to score changes (the actual costs of the legislation) once passed.
Once the CBO scores are in, Democrats plan on passing the "Slaughter Rule" which requires a simple majority - 51 votes - in the House of Representatives to pass.
Here's whats happening my friends, the Democrat controlled House of Representatives is conspiring with the Democrate controlled Senate to pass a bill that no one knows the contents or costs of, only revealing that information once the bill passes.
A bill that the overwhelming majority of American's do not want I might add.
To put this into perspective, would you purchase a car without knowing the make, model or options installed were? Of course not, yet that is precisely what the Democrat controlled Congress is about to do with your money in "health care reform."
This Congress must be stopped by any means necessary. And I do mean any means necessary.
Our own Declaration of Independence says:
"[W]hen a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce [the People] under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."
The Declaration was written against the King "For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent." Doesn't this health care reform monstrosity do the same? The Declaration of Independence also declares:
"Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people."
Who are today's tyrants? Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barack Obama, and those Democrats (and Republicans that voted for cloture) who enable their Socialist/Fascist agenda in the United States Congress.
I'm sure many of you have noticed by now that I haven't been updating the blog as regularly as I used to, and it's been nearly three weeks since our last update. Certainly Obama and the Democrats have given me much to write about and there hasn't been a lack of material or thought to post from their kamikaze mission to pass "Health Care Reform", their continuing to ignore the economy as more and more American's lose their jobs (but hey, "only 36,000" lost their jobs last month!) and Al-Qaeda's increasing attempts to attack our country, the latest involving "Jihad Jane."
This administration has become a joke, really it has. More and more American's are speaking out against Obama, the Democrats, Republican's and the fact that our Government is going directly against the will of the American People. Obama's and the Congress' ratings are at all time historic lows, and that's as it should be with what these bozo's in Washington DC are doing.
It almost makes me feel as if "my job is done here.." but I know it isn't and there is more work to do. I intend to continue that work soon.
I hesitate to post this because I know my detractors will react with glee but the reality is I've been unable to keep up with the blog and many other things in my life that have required my attention (such as my job, family and other obligations) due to an illness that has hit me, and is going to take some time to recover from.
I don't want to disclose what that illness is other than to say it isn't life threatening, a mental illness, a drug or alcohol addition issue and I haven't gone "Tiger Woods." I've been under Doctor's care the last three weeks and am starting to recover. My Doctors expect it may take as long as another month or two of treatment for life to return to normal, or at least "normal" for me.
The reason I am posting this is because I didn't want my readers to think I've "abandoned" the blog. I haven't. I have way too much invested in all the research and articles that have been posted on this Obamanation of a President over the last two years to simply walk away from it.
As I recover from this illness and my energy levels come back up, I will be resuming posting on the blog on a more regular basis. My plan is to start posting every other day for the time being, and again daily in the near future.

During OBama's first two years in office alone, unemployment reached a twenty-six plus year high of 10.2%.
CNN Reports There Are 400,000 fewer people working today, then when Obama took office! Where's the "Recovery?!"
There are now 25 MILLION People in this country who are Unemployed / Under-Employed / Gave Up Looking for work. That's more than any other time in this country's history.
That's more than the entire population of the State of Pennsylvania, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The Unemployment Rate remains above 8% for the FOURTH year in a row - longer than any other time in history of this country.
How about Foreign Policy?
North Korea has successfully tested a nuclear weapon for the third timeand has directly threatened the security of the United States of America by declaring the Korean War has resumed.
The response by the Obama Administration? Silence, followed by more 'sanctions' against North Korea. As if that's going to matter.
Iran has accellerated its nuclear program in defiance of the United States and the so-called "United Nations." The Obama Administration's response? Another useless sanction with the United Nations. Iran now has several THOUSAND centrifuges making fissible, nuclear material for BOMBS and is DIRECTLY threatening war against Israel now.
Obama's response: Threaten Israel.
On the Economic Front:
The "Misery Index" is once again being calculated - for the first time since the disastrous Jimmy Carter Presidency.
By printing and adding another $6 TRILLION dollars in DEBT, Obama has set the stage for 1970's style inflation. Welcome to the Obama Economy.
The Federal Budget Deficit, which was $400 billion dollars for 2009 as voted on and approved by Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton and yes, Barack Hussein Obama during the last year of the Bush Presidency
Obama Budget Deficits have exceeded $1.5 TRILLION Dollars each year he's been in office. That's a historic first! They can't blame this on Bush, they own this crap sammich!
How about Obama's record on Energy?
Obama is still pushing for Cap and Tax. Once Cap & Tax has been instituted, along with the $1/gallon fuel tax advocated by some Obama Appointees we can expect gas to be $6/gallon or higher, should Cap & Tax go into effect.
Obama's EPA has effectively SHUT DOWN all off-shore drilling, and all drilling on Federal land. The "boom" in drilling is happening on PRIVATE LAND where the EPA cannot stop it.
How about the War on Terror?
Afghanistan is LOST.Obama's failed policies have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. The Taliban is resurgent, and the Obama Administration has entered into "negotiations" with the very regime that aided Osama Bin Laden in attacking us on 9-11-01. Why isn't Obama being impeached for TREASON?!
