Congressman Pete Stark (D. CA) believes the Federal Government can do most anything in regulating our daily lives, including making those of us who work for a living tax-slaves to those who do not providing them “free” health care.

Clear Majority of New Yorkers Favor ObamaCare Repeal

Tide Turns Against Big Daddy Government In Top Liberal State

A new Rasmussen Reports survey of public opinion in New York finds a solid majority of respondents favor repeal of Obamacare, with 56 percent overall favoring and 41 percent saying they strongly favor repeal.

Only 42 percent oppose repeal, with only 31 percent, or slightly less than one-third, strongly opposing repeal, according to Rasmussen.

These figures place New York firmly in the national mainstream of opinion on the issue of repealing Obamacare:

"The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 58% of voters favor repeal, including 48% who Strongly Favor it. Thirty-seven percent (37%) are opposed to repeal, with 28% who are Strongly Opposed," Rasmussen said.

New Senate Energy Bill is a Poison Pill

Environmentalist Dream Will Kill Economy, Destroy American Way of Life

The American Thinker has an excellent analysis online today by Brian Sussman, a former Meteorologist and author of Climategate: A Veteran Meteorologist Exposes The Global Warming Scam.

A “slimmed down” version of Cap and Trade is targeted for passage by the Lame Duck Congress after the November 2nd elections.  This bill if passed mandates homeowners spend thousands of dollars to comply with a new “Home Star Retrofit Act of 2010” via “environmental compliance upgrades.”  If passed, this act will further depress the housing industry and drive home prices down further, no doubt a goal of the Obama Administration to deplete American’s wealth via transfer to Federal Government coffers. 

Smart Meters will also be required across the country, giving control of YOUR electricity usage to the Federal Government who will then calculate what your “carbon footprint” should be, and “entice” you to reduce it via “economic rewards” to do so.

To make matters worse, the same bill would require Fannie Mae, already tens of billions of dollars in the red to become the official lender of first resort for those homeowners who could not otherwise afford to “upgrade” their homes doors, windows and heating systems.  That’s right, section 3015 of the “Home Star Retrofit Act of 2010” forces Fannie Mae to lend even more money, taking on even more debt, from homeowners who cannot afford their homes in the first place!
